About the Course

 Economics course provides a study on how societies use scarce resources to satify unlimited wants and needs and how individuals, businesses and governments make decisions related to resource allocation and production. It covers topics like Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Economics, Financial Economics, etc. allowing the students to specialise in areas like finance, public policy or internationa relations. 

Course Outcome

1. Students will learn the basic principles of microeconomics (individual and firm behaviour) and macroeconnomics (National Income, Unemployment, Inflation) and grasp the concept of market failure and potential role of governement intervention.
2. Students will develop analytical skills to evaluate economic models, understand their situation and apply them in real world situations.
3. Students will learn to use data and statistics to analyse economic phenomena and  economic problems logically and efficiently and make predictions.
4. Students will learn about the functioning of government policies and their impact on the economy and society.
5. Students will learn to apply economic principles to make informed decisions in their personal and professional life.
